Wimbledon School of English

Quality Education - Perfect Location

Wimbledon School of English is one of the oldest English language centres in the UK (we were established in 1964) and we have always tried to be fair, ethical, responsible and professional . We feel that the fact that we are still a family business and not part of a huge multinational company (unlike most ELT centres in the UK) really helps us with this. We still care passionately about education and are motivated by the desire to provide the highest possible quality in everything we do, and we are very lucky to have a wonderful, dedicated team of staff who help us to do this. That is why we have been named as the top UK English language teaching centre (out of 570 British Council accredited centres) since 2014.

“I have made friends from all around the world, and also the most important part of spending time at Wimbledon School of English is that I have improved my English skills. Everyone who thinks about going to study English in England should go to Wimbledon school of English, without a doubt, because it's the best school!”

London

The world’s best city for students (QS Best Student Cities Ranking, 2019)

We are located in a beautiful building with a large garden, in lovely part of London. Wimbledon, is famous for the tennis championships and is a very safe, beautiful and lively area. It is ideally situated just outside the centre of London (20 minutes journey time to Central London), which means it is the perfect place if you want to enjoy all the fun of London without the stress. It has great facilities just a few minutes’ walk from the school: multiplex cinema, shopping centre, theatre, sports clubs, sports clubs, over one hundred cafes, bars, pubs & restaurants, and the train and underground stations. Ten minutes walk from the school you will find Wimbledon Village, one of the most beautiful parts of London with inviting cafes, fantastic designer shops and traditional pubs, and a huge 500 hectare area of grassland, woods & lakes, Wimbledon Common. So, it’s the perfect place as it combines one of the world’s most exciting cities with a gorgeous traditional English village and lovely green countryside.
