The London School of English Canterbury

For a truly ‘English’ experience, come to Canterbury, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 1000 years of history. The London School of English Canterbury offers General and Business English for motivated clients aged 30 and over. We aim to give you relevant skills that can be applied immediately, so our English courses are intensive and practical.

Our Canterbury centre was given a perfect score in our British Council inspection - the highest in the UK - so quality is assured. We include a lot of extras in our course prices, such as the online course and social programme so the courses are good value for money. Our 'hour' lessons are 60 minutes long and this gives clients more time with their trainer to help them to make progress towards their learning objectives quickly.

The relationships we build with our clients make the centre so special. Our friendly environment brings together mature professional people from all around the world with shared interests. Our small classes and high-quality training will help you achieve your goals and become a more effective communicator in English. Our social programme events include traditional English experiences and help clients of different nationalities to make friends and improve their intercultural skills.

The training centre has a calm and friendly atmosphere, with its own garden and coffee lounge. Close to the main shopping streets, there are cafés, restaurants, pubs and tourist attractions just a few minutes' walk away, as well as quiet green parks and the river. Our training centre is on a quiet street just five minutes’ walk from the world-famous cathedral.

“The trainers, the staff, the school, the location, the extra-curricular activities - everything was really great. I really recommend this school and am thinking about coming back next year.”
